Registration with queue system and waiting room

In SPORTI, we have developed a queue system with a waiting room, which we use for those of our events where there is great interest in signing up when the registration opens.

Waiting room

The queue system has a waiting room that typically opens 10 minutes before the official start of registration, and the waiting room typically closes 1 minute after the official start of registration.

When the waiting room closes everyone who has entered is assigned a random number in the queue, and is then send to the registration form in that order. You automatically move on from the waiting room to the place in the queue, without having to do anything active.

Everyone who arrives at the registration and queue system after the waiting room is closed will automatically receive the next number in the queue. A number that will be after those who entered the waiting room. It is an advantage to enter the waiting room.

The queue system

Once you have entered the queue, you can see your current position in the queue. It will continuously count down until it has become your turn. You will then be automatically be send to the registration form.

Once it's your turn you have 15 minutes to make all the registrations and complete the payment.

You can only have one place in the queue per SPORTI profile, and there will typically be a limit to how many registrations you can make per number in the queue. When you complete your payment for the registration/registrations, you lose your place in the queue. It is therefore important to gather all possible registrations on the same payment. If you need to make more registrations, you must take a new number in the queue.
